15 DAY SUMATRA - KERINCI - BENGKULU

Day 1. Arrival in Medan, We will pick up you from the airport. Overnight in our Guesthouse, situated just 10 minutes from Medan Airport. Take rest for a while after the long journey, and afterward go to down town for city tour to visit Sultan Palace of Old Malay Deli kingdom, Maimoon, Grand mosque Al Mashum and Buddhist Temple, etc.

Day 2. Medan - Brastagi - a highland resort with its refreshing weather and magnificent mountain scenery, through some part of the lush tropical rain forest of Sumatra. Reaching Berastagi, visit Peceren – a Batak Karo village with a number of traditional houses that are still being used in where eight families living together in every house. Then visit the fruit market of Berastagi.

 

Day 3. Berastagi – Parapat - Samosir
Trip then continues to Samosir Island, with a stop at Lingga village, to look at the heritage of Karoness people’s culture. Also stop at the Waterfall and Simalungun Kings house.

 

Day 4. Toba Tour
The Trip starts to observe the cultural of Batak Toba society, and also enjoy the inheritance object of Batak ancestor e.g. The Tomb of King Sidabutar. Stone chair, Batak Dance and etc.

 

Day 5. Lake Toba Your own program. Today you can take nice walks or have a swim in the lake.

 

Day 6 . Samosir – Parapat – Padang Sidempuan, Cross-backs the lake to reach Parapat. Continued to Jangga Dolok to see traditional Batak village. Proceed to visit pineapple farm. Stop at Balige with its richly ornament market building. Then to visit hotspring in Sipoholon. Continue journey to Padang Sidempuan through Tarutung. Stop at incense trees. Enjoy the scenic view of mountains along the winding road.

 

Day 7. Padang Sidempuan - Bukittinggi. The route to Bukittinggi in the Minangkabau highlands brings you again right through the Bukit Barisan Mountain.It is an impressive tour in which you drive through a wall of tropical rain forest. On route you will pass the equator at a place called Bonjol. In the afternoon we arrive in the cool and pleasant town of Bukittinggi.

 

Day 8. Minangkabau Tour
Bukittinggi - city tour and excursion to Pagaruyung. In the morning city tour taking in 'Fort De Kock', the museum, the market and the 'Karbouwengat'. The former Fort De Kock lies on a strategic point with an excellent view of the Surrounding Mountains. Next you can visit the Minangkabau Palace also watching some the inheritance of Minangkabau is held at Bukit tinggi.

 

Day 9. Bukittinggi - Maninjau. Today you proceed to Maninjau via the silver village of Kota Gadang on the other side of the Karbouwengat. For the sportive hiker the one-hour walks through the deep Karbouwengat to Kota Gadang. From Kota Gadang the car for departure will pick you up to the mysterious lake Maninjau, descending to the lake via the road with 44 curves. In the afternoon back to Bukittinggi.

 

Day 10. Bukit tinggi – Kersik Tuo, After breakfast drive to Kersik tuo via Muara labuh and stop at Lake Diatas and Lake Dibawah and passing several Minang Kabau Village. On the way visit Telun Berasap Waterfall and passing tea plantation at Kayu Aro and arrival at Kersik tuo, the area of Kerinci Seblat National Park.

 

Day 11. Kersik Tuo – KERINCI NATIONAL PARK Jungle Trek, after breakfast, trekking for about 3 - 4 hours through the beautiful tropical rainforest accompanied by the concert of birds and gibbons. Lake Danau Tujuh is a huge, mysterious lake at 1996 m above sea level and surrounded by primary rainforest and 7 hills. Lunch will be served beside the lake. The pristine area around the lake is the habitat of Sumatra Tigers, Sumatra Elephants, Primates, and endemic birds of Sumatra. It is also the area where there have been many reports of an unidentified primate and the search continues for this “orang Kate” small man of the jungle. Most of the day is spent trekking and exploring the surrounding in search for animals, birds and exotic plants. In the afternoon back to Kersik Tuo.

 

Day 12. Kersik tuo – Muko – Muko. Today we drive by impressive route along the western coastal route and overnight at Muko muko

 

Day 13. Muko Muko  - Bengkulu, along the coast road. Bengkulu was subject to British influence in the eighteenth century of which still remnants can be seen. Arrival is in the afternoon, stay and overnight beside the beach with view over the Indian Ocean.

 

Day 14. Bengkulu, in the morning there is a city tour of Bengkulu taking in the remaining original Dutch, English, and Chinese and Malay architecture. PARR and HAMILTON MONUMENT, Bung Karno Residence Memory (first President of Indonesia), FORT MARLBOROUGH. Suban hot spring, Suban is good for bathing of the source of natural hot water. Near by the place, there are waterfalls on top and bottom of the Small Rivers current

 

Day 15. In the morning we proceed to the airport to depart for your next destination.
