17 DAY SUMATRA NIAS ISLAND

DAY 1. MEDAN - BUKITLAWANG

` We will pick you from the airport. Then drive to /Bukit Lawang, to the orang utan rehabilitation centre via many rubber and palmoil plantations. In this impressive nature reserve you can see the orang utans feeding in their natural environment.

DAY 2. JUNGLE TREKKING. (B.L.D)

After breakfast at Hotel start treking trough the bank of the river and crossing the river by traditional canoe and walking up the jungle to see the Orang Utan on the their feeding time. After feeding the Orang Utan treking throuhg the Leuser National Park, walking around Leuser National Park is the time to experience many kind of flora and fauna as well enjoy the song of birds such of horn bill and Siamang "The Black Gibbon" Overnight in the tent

DAY 3. TREKKING BACK TO BUKITLAWANG. B. L

After breakfast prepared by our guide then start walking back walking to Bukitlawang aroun 12: 00 pm you will arrived at Bukitlawang then drive to Brastagi for an overnight

DAY 4. BRASTAGI – SIBAYAK VOLCANO.(B.L)

After early breakfast drive to the slope of Sibayak Vulcano and then start climbing to Sibayak Volcano, where approximately at noon arrival on the top of Sibayak volcano, after take a rest and enjoy it the view, start treking back to Brastagi via different route where you will arrive at Semangat Gunung hot spring and you can enjoy swimming on the hot spring pool after that drive back to Hotel for overnight.

Sibayak Volcano
This is an active volcano 2,165 m above sea level. The ascent passes through thick tropical forest. From the mountain peak climbers can look down into the crater which is still actively producing lava. You can also see the beautiful scenery around them. Climbing start from the village of Jarang uda it is about 1.5 km from our Hotel, and takes it’s about 3 - 4 hours to climb the mountain. The temperature at the peak is about 18° C

DAY 5. BRASTAGI – SAMOSIR. (B)

Via a lovely route through the Karo highlands via pineapple, clove and ginger plantations. Stops en route at the tribal kings' house of the Simalungun Batak in Pematang Purba and the Sipiso Piso waterfalls. In the afternoon you arrive in Prapat at Lake Toba from where you cross the lake to the island of Samosir. The car goes with you. Overnight stay on Samosir island right on the lakeside.

DAY 6. BATAK TOBA TOUR. (B)

Samosir Island – tour to Tomok, Ambarita and Simanindo and visit typical Toba Batak villages: Tomok with its kings' tombs, Ambarita with its execution tables and in Simanindo with traditional Batak dances.

DAY 7. LAKE TOBA. Your own program. (B)

DAY 8. SAMOSIR – SIBOLGA. (B)

In the early morning you will cross the lake to Prapat from where you leave for Padang Sidempuan. Along the southern shores of Lake Toba with its lovely rice fields and huge Batak kings' graves you travel through the Toba highlands. During the trip you will pass hot sulphur springs at Sipoholon. Late afternoon we will arrive at Sibolga harbor, then sailing to Nias Island, overnight on the Boat

DAY 9 GUNUNGSITOLI NIAS ISLAND – TELUK DALAM. (B)

Morning, arrival at Nias Island harbor in Gunungsitoli will continued our trip to Lagundri Beach in Teluk Dalam. En - route enjoy the most beautiful of view and the several village of Nias. Check in for overnight

DAY 10 NIAS CULTURE TRIP. (B)

After breakfast at hotel. Trip to Botohilitano and Bawomataluo village to see the Traditional village with the King’s House made from massive wood. Observed the megalithic cultures and the way life of Nias tribe, Stone Jumping and War Dance could be served on special request. Explore to Orahili dan Hilisimaetano traditional villages to see the habitual life of Nias tribe. Afternoon back to Hotel

DAY 11 GOMO MEGALITH TOUR EXPLORATION. (B)

Fullday Tour. Drive to Lahusa and expolore to the oldest Megalith site at Lahusa Satu, Tetegewo, Tuhegeowe and Tundru Baho.

DAY 12 LAGUNDRI BEACH - GUNUNGSITOLI. (B)

After breakfast at hotel. Depart to Gunung Sitoli. On the way Visit the northern Nias traditional houses at Tumori village, late afternoon arrive at Nias Island harbor then sailing back to Sibolga, overnight on the Boat

DAY 13. SIBOLGA – BUKITTINGGI .(B)

The route to Bukittinggi in the Minangkabau highlands brings you again right through the Bukit Barisan mountainical ridge of Sumatra. It is an impressive tour which you drive through a wall of tropical rain forest. En route stop at Aek Sijornih the waterfalls drop on to the coconut plantation and Rimba Panti National Park also you will you pass the equator in the place Bonjol. In the late afternoon we arrive in the cool and pleasant town of Bukittinggi.

DAY 14. MINANGKABAU TOUR. (B)

After breakfast, we drive to Batu Sangkar via Tabek Patah, here you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of field rece and some of Minangkabau traditional village and next stop is Sungai Tarab to see traditional coffee mills still driven by water whells, arrival at Batusangkar is considered the centre of Minangkabau culture that has some historical remains of stone tablets with ancient Hindu script drive to Pagaruyung to visit the duplicate Palace of Minangkabau Kingdom, afternoon return to Bukittinggi via Padang Panjang and visit The Minangkabau cultural centre museum next stop is Pandai Sikat village to see Minangkabau traditional hand weaving and wood carving.

DAY 15. BUKITTINGGI – MANINJAU . (B)

After breakfast city tour by visiting Sianok Canyon with its Japanese tunnel, Fort de Kock, Museum and Jam Gadang (Big Ben) the Landmarks of Bukittinggi and visit market then drive to Maninjau, on the way visiting Koto Gadang village to see traditional silver work and passing the fantastic 44 hairpin turns road, arrival at Maninjau check in to hotel

DAY 16. MANINJAU – PADANG. (B)

Today you go to Padang via the beautiful Anai valley with the Anai waterfall. The harbour city of Padang on the Indian Ocean is the economic center of West Sumatra. On arrival there is a city tour of Padang and Overnight at Inna Muara Hotel

DAY 17. PADANG – Transfer to Airport for your next destination. (B)
